If you’re reading this, you probably are wrestling with the idea of having to get dental implants. There’s a lot of questions going through your mind and you’re worried about the end result. Any kind of procedure can scare someone who doesn’t know what’s about to happen and how it can transform their lives. Don’t worry we understand your fears and are here to not only put them to rest, but ensure that you love your new smile!
We’re going to answer a few common questions we hear regarding dental implant surgery to try and put your mind at ease.
Will Dental Implants Hurt?
We get this question a lot! Before we begin the surgery, we use IV Conscious Sedation to ensure your comfort. What this means is that for the duration of the surgery, you will be asleep. After the surgery is complete, we prescribe antibiotics and pain medications to take away any discomfort associated with the surgery.
Most patients describe their pain without medication as tolerable and that they don’t use all the pain medication prescribed. Once the surgical site has healed, you shouldn’t have any pain, just a perfect smile instead!
Will I have Teeth the Day of Surgery?
Yes! That’s the best thing about FastNewSmile® and the teeth implant process. It’s quick and doesn’t leave you with a gap in your teeth. We know how tiresome it can be to have to go back and forth to dental appointments just to get implants put in.
We make it simple with a consultation and then a day for surgery. We make sure your new smile goes home with you as quickly and easily as possible!
Do Dental Implants Last Long?
Absolutely. Dental implants, whether they’re single tooth implants or even bridge implants, are designed to last a lifetime. The tooth is made of a high-quality titanium post inserted into the jaw to act as a root. A crown is then placed on top of the post. Our implants are strong and if taken care of properly, will last the rest of your life.
Are Dental Implants Expensive?
That’s never an easy question to answer because it depends entirely on the patient’s needs and condition of his or her teeth. The price of a patient’s treatment is solely dependent on their specific case; this is one of the biggest reasons we offer a free dental implant consultation.
Because we know this will be an investment we are able to accept third party loans, cash, checks and all major credit cards. You deserve a beautiful smile even if you can’t pay for it right away.
