When patients leave our office the day their permanent teeth are delivered, we give them a night guard to protect against grinding. With the night guard, they are able to protect their teeth from a habit sometimes they aren’t even aware of. Another reason that could possibly be a factor in teeth breakage is that the teeth and bite were not designed correctly. Even if the materials aren’t faulty, the design of the occlusion can cause the teeth to chip. This shouldn’t be a problem if you have a Prosthodontist working on your case.
